Mercy’s Won Announces New Ministry Partnership with Deaf Child Hope International

Mercy’s Won—comprised of Russell and Shaela Funk, Darrin Jenkins, and Erick Parnell—is excited to announce a new ministry partnership with Deaf Child Hope International.

An estimated 25 million Deaf children worldwide are currently living in isolation—often outcast from their communities and deemed unworthy of an education. Deaf Child Hope exists to change that reality.

A large percentage—nearly half—of Deaf children living in poverty have never been taught sign language, which is often their only means of communication with family, friends, and their community. Cultural misconceptions surrounding deafness can lead to these children being isolated, rejected, and lonely. In many developing countries, Deaf children are considered incapable of learning and are therefore denied education and access to the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Deaf Child Hope International brings hope to Deaf children around the world by providing basic necessities such as clothing, food, shelter, safety, acceptance, medical care, education, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This work is made possible through the support of ministry partners, Deaf child sponsors, financial supporters, and dedicated volunteers.

Through this partnership, Mercy’s Won will offer audiences at concerts and ministry engagements the opportunity to learn about, support, and sponsor Deaf children through Deaf Child Hope International. This collaboration unites music ministry with hands-on global impact—turning compassion into action.

Together, Deaf Child Hope International and Mercy’s Won are raising awareness and providing resources—and the love of Christ—to millions of Deaf children who deserve hope, education, and a future.
