I remember sitting in the writing room with Paul Duncan on FaceTime and Kyle Williams in the room. I started sharing parts of my story… how God had brought me through so much. How He had set me free from debilitating depression, and how that season inspired me to start writing music as a testimony of His goodness and to help others know Him too. Then I shared how, not long after that season, God began opening doors for me to write with incredible songwriters here in Nashville. Every door I walked through, I knew it was God making a way… because there’s no way I could’ve opened those doors on my own. And even sitting there that day felt like evidence that God wasn’t just making a way back then… He was still making ways. It felt important to acknowledge what God was doing in that moment, so we started throwing around ideas. “Making Ways” immediately felt right. What’s beautiful is that I was newly pregnant in my first trimester while writing this song, and the writers didn’t even know yet. God was opening new doors for me to write new music and tell new stories of His faithfulness in an entirely new era of my life. That day, I was reminded again that The same God who made a way before was still making a way for me.
ABOUT IVETH LUNA:
Red Street Records artist Iveth Luna joins a rare circle of Christian vocalists who record music in both English and Spanish, a reflection of her bilingual heritage and the colorful musical family that raised her. The Texas native first felt called to music during a transformational encounter with God at a worship night in college. Following a series of rejections, including a devastating “no” during an “American Idol” audition, the singer/songwriter walked through a season of depression. It was another profound moment of worship at church that eventually brought healing and enabled her to overcome her emotional struggles. Now, she hopes her own original songs can do the same for others. Her debut single, “In You,” catapulted Luna into the Top 30 on the Billboard Christian Airplay Chart and earned her a spot on Air1’s “Top 10 Unforgettable Artists of 2022” year-end list. In 2023, the newcomer was selected to be a pre-tel presenter at the 54th annual GMA Dove Awards and, that same year, garnered her first Dove Award nomination as a co-writer on “Goodbye Ole Me,” recorded by her label mates in Consumed By Fire. Iveth is poised to open a fresh chapter of new music starting with her upcoming single, “Making Ways” out June 2026.
