Justin Evans "The Inflation Song"

I’m an independent Toronto-based songwriter sharing my folk single, Inflation Song. What began as a personal reflection on housing affordability grew into a contemporary folk track that has been resonating with listeners navigating current cost-of-living pressures. Comments have gone so far as to request calling it the new national anthem for North America. This was the lead single of the debut EP Close to Grown, which was released April 28, 2026

The song approaches these themes from an observational, non-partisan perspective, focusing on shared experience rather than ideology. Sonically, it sits in a modern folk/Americana space with acoustic-forward production and an anthemic chorus.

This is my first official release, with a second single planned in the coming months followed by a debut EP, Close to Grown, which explores themes of growth and transition in an ever-growing chaotic time.
