Cassandra Star may only be 15 years old, but she has already had an impressive resume of musical experiences and opportunities. She has been singing the national anthem at many professional sports games including the MLB's Toronto Blue Jays, NBA's Toronto Raptors, the NHL's Winnipeg Jets & the MLS's Vancouver Whitecaps.
When she was only 9 years old, she started her own Youtube channel with her older sister Callahan and their Hallelujah rendition went viral with over 50 million views and Cassandra received the silver play award from Youtube for reaching the milestone of over 100,000 subscribers.
She was invited to Washington, D.C. to sing at the Museum of the Bible and again in Arizona and was recently invited to fly to New York to sing for Ellen's Stardust Diner kids' event where she was one of the finalists. Cassandra also has been invited to Kristen Chenoweth's elite Broadway camp in Oklahoma for the last 3 summers where kids from all over the world audition to attend and Cassandra was the only one selected from Canada.
Last year Cassandra was contacted by the producer of Canada's Got Talent to be on Season 4 and she advanced to the quarter finals when Shania Twain herself voted YES telling Cassandra that she believed she would make it all the way to the top! Cassandra has been performing live with Canadian country band Petric this last year and next weekend she will perform her own set at Dauphin's Countryfest where Jelly Roll and Nate Smith are headlining. She was also chosen to be a contestant during the CCMA awards in Saskatoon this September for the annual Diamonds in the Rough contest where she will perform her original new country song "Steal My Heart" that just released a few days ago. Being a small-town girl independent artist has its challenges so if you could help promote her with any radio play opportunity, she would be truly grateful.
Thank you for considering Cassandra Star.
