CHOSEN ROAD SCORES FIRST-EVER DOVE AWARD NOMINATIONS

Earning their first-ever Dove Award nominations in a celebrated career spanning nearly two decades, Christian music’s premier roots ensemble Chosen Road has been nominated for two 57th Annual Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, it was announced today. The Billboard chart-topping band garnered nods for Bluegrass/Country/Roots Album of the Year for their Thoroughbred Records EP American Morning: Side A, produced by Dave Clark; and Bluegrass Recorded Song of the Year for the Lee Black and Gina Boe-penned “A God Thing.”

“We’re incredibly honored to receive our first Dove Award nominations,” says Chosen Road founding member Jonathan Buckner. “American Morning: Side A was intentionally built around songs of faith. We wanted this project to reflect our love for Gospel music and the rich heritage of songs that have encouraged generations of believers. It’s a privilege to carry that legacy forward while pointing people to the hope found in Christ.”

“We’re so thankful to our Thoroughbred and Daywind Music Group family for believing in this project, and to our longtime friend and producer, Dave Clark, for helping bring these songs to life,” Buckner adds. “Above all, we’re grateful to the Lord for every opportunity He’s given us to share the Gospel through music. These nominations are an incredible honor, but our greatest hope is that these songs continue pointing people to Jesus.”

“We couldn’t be more thrilled for our friends Chosen Road,” shares Dusty Wells, director of A&R and artist relations, Daywind Music Group. “Everyone here at Daywind has believed in this incredible group from the very beginning, and to see them recognized with two Gospel Music Association Dove Award nominations is both exciting and deeply rewarding. What makes this moment so special is that their music is simply an extension of who they are—authentic, humble, compassionate, and wholeheartedly committed to sharing the hope of Christ. They genuinely love their fans, their friends, and the calling God has placed on their lives. We are honored to walk alongside them on this journey and celebrate all that God continues to do through their ministry. These nominations are so well deserved, and we couldn't be happier for them.”

The newly Dove-nominated American Morning: Side A released in February from Thoroughbred Records, showcasing Chosen Road’s signature blend of bluegrass, roots, and Gospel styles. Produced by Dave Clark and executive produced by Jonathan Buckner, the six-song EP celebrates faith, family and freedom and is highlighted by the group’s Bluegrass Recorded Song of the Year-nominated “A God Thing.”

The 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards will be presented Tuesday, October 6 at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, with the show airing exclusively on TBN Friday, October 9.
