CJ Solar and The Old Souls is CJ Solar’s new artistic endeavor. CJ Solar and The Old Souls fuses Nashville Country, Delta Blues, Southern Rock, and Louisiana swampy grooves, putting a fresh twist on a vintage sound. Led by hit singer-songwriter, CJ Solar (writer on the #1 “UpDown” for Morgan Wallen, #1 “Some Girls” for Jameson Rodgers), the band marks Solar’s reentry into life as a recording artist after putting his artistry on pause following the pandemic. CJ is releasing this new project under his new band name, CJ Solar and The Old Souls, as it signifies a new era for his original music, creates focus on the “live show” aspect, pays tribute to his longtime band members, and to the listeners who are “old souls” and love the nostalgia of country storytelling, soulful vocals, and a lot of guitar!“First Time Caller” is the lead radio single from the new project which was recorded at Skaggs studio in Hendersonville, TN. Solar co-wrote all of the songs on the project. The 11 track album, “Black Label Blues” is set for release in November.
